Company Outline

Campbell Smith & Co is an historic conservation, decoration and restoration company with an exceptional, award-winning history dating back to 1873. We would like to recruit a qualified and experienced project manager to manage a variety of conservation and specialist decorations projects, for private clients, hotels and national organisations, such as the National Trust and Historic England and will include ecclesiastical works. Values range from £50,000 to £2M.

Person Specification

• A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Excels in client and contractor facing roles and negotiations
• Highly presentable and motivated, experienced at working to board level
• Excellent IT literacy
• Able to take full responsibility for multiple high value projects
• Able to provide full project management and cost control for multiple complex operations
• Highly experienced at managing and developing a team to deliver key targets
• Ensuring best practice in financial, personnel and contractual management
• Able to undertake condition surveys for listed and historic structures
• Experienced in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum A level or equivalent  – Required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the historic built environment – Required
• Full, clean driving license – Required
• BSc Project Management – Preferred
• MSc Historic Building Conservation – Preferred
• MIHBC/MRICS or equivalent membership of a professional body – Preferred
